Donald Glover was hired to write for 30 Rock at 23, then spent five years playing Troy Barnes on Community before creating Atlanta in 2016 - a series that won him two Emmys and two Golden Globes over six seasons. He signed to Glassnote in 2011 and released Camp as Childish Gambino, followed by Because the Internet in 2013 and the psychedelic funk turn of "Awaken, My Love!" in 2016, which gave him "Redbone" and a Grammy. In 2018 "This Is America" debuted at number one and swept all four categories at the Grammys, making history as the first hip hop song to take Record and Song of the Year. By then he'd played Lando Calrissian in Solo, voiced Simba in The Lion King, and co-created the Marvel character Miles Morales by sheer association. He released two more albums by 2024 and starred in his own reboot of Mr. & Mrs. Smith - still moving, still several people at once.
