Public visibility is scattered across search engines, social platforms, news, encyclopedias, and platform-specific signals. No single source gives you the full picture, and the people it describes have no way to see or manage it.
Fame.am collects those signals, structures them into a clean public profile, and ranks people across countries, categories, tags, search topics, and platforms. We measure what people search, read, watch, and follow. Not what they say about themselves.
Short descriptions and some summaries are written with an AI model from the cited sources.

How is the Fame Score calculated?
The Fame Score is a composite 0 to 100 index, not a follower count. It reads public attention from public data and puts everyone on one scale, so a footballer and a physicist can be compared. A score of 80+ means globally recognised; under 30 means present but not yet prominent. How the score is put together is our own work, and it is not for sale: placement cannot be bought.
What data sources does Fame.am use?
Public sources only: Wikipedia and Wikidata, the film and music catalogues, and public platform pages. Every one of them is named and credited on our data sources page. We measure what people search, read, watch, and follow, not what they say about themselves.
Can I pay to rank higher on Fame.am?
No. There are no pay-to-rank mechanics. Rankings are derived entirely from public signals, so placement cannot be bought.
How do I claim or opt out of my profile?
You can claim your profile to help manage it. We aim to respect opt-out requests within 48 hours, and in any case within 30 days. Profiles are built from public data about people whose names already exist in the public record.

Public figures, creators, knowledge workers, and researchers, anyone whose name exists in the public record and who has measurable public attention.
