Something wrong? The all-time top goalscorer in professional football - over 970 goals across club and country - and holder of the Champions League's scoring and assist records. A five-time Ballon d'Or winner who turned relentless self-optimization into a two-decade run at the summit.

I don’t see anyone better than me. No player does things that I cannot do myself, but I see things others can’t do. There’s no more complete player than me.
We don't want to tell our dreams. We want to show them.
I think that because I am rich, handsome and a great player people are envious of me. I don’t have any other explanation.

Born in Funchal, Madeira, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro left Sporting CP for Manchester United in 2003, where three straight Premier League titles and a 2008 Ballon d'Or at 23 announced his arrival. The €94 million move to Real Madrid in 2009 was then football's most expensive transfer; he repaid it by becoming the club's all-time top scorer and anchoring four Champions Leagues between 2014 and 2018, including La Décima. Spells at Juventus, a brief Manchester return, and a 2023 shift to Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr followed. For Portugal, he debuted at 18 in 2003 and now holds the records for most international caps (226) and goals (143), captaining the side to Euro 2016 glory and two UEFA Nations League titles. The first athlete to amass a billion social media followers, he was named by Sportico in 2026 as the third highest-paid in history.
