About this person
Ahmed Ololade was born on 13 January 1995 in Nigeria and built his career as a singer, rapper, and songwriter under the name Asake. In 2022 he released Mr. Money with the Vibe, which broke the record for the biggest opening day for an African album on Apple Music and debuted at number 66 on the Billboard 200. His second album Work of Art arrived in 2023 and matched that chart position. By 2024 his third album Lungu Boy became his third consecutive number one in Nigeria and the longest-running number one in the country's chart history. Along the way he collected an All Africa Music Award, two Headies awards, and a MOBO award, with nominations for a BET Award, two Grammys, and an NAACP Image Award.
