A Nigerian rapper who calls himself the "Leader of the New Revival" and turned a Show Dem Camp feature into a Mavin Records deal. The alias isn't just swagger - it marks the shift he represents: rap with melody, Lagos with polish, a new lane.

About this person

Born Ladipo Eso on 25 April 1985, he started as Poe before the name stuck in its longer form. The breakthrough came on Show Dem Camp's "Feel Alright", a verse sharp enough that Mavin Records signed him in February 2017. Two years later he dropped "Jaiye" in March 2019, then "Know You" with Simi - a crossover play that widened the audience. He's also part of Collectiv3, the Nigerian supergroup, threading between solo work and collective ambition. The through-line: rap that doesn't reject the hook, a sound built for now.
