Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan was born 5 February 1996, and by 2018 had landed a deal with YBNL Nation, the label Olamide built. A year later he released Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps, his first full-length, and "Jealous" became the kind of song that wins Listener's Choice at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards and gets nominated for Song of the Year. Two albums followed, then Playboy in 2022, which cracked the Billboard 200 at number 123. In 2024 he released Adedamola, a fourth studio effort that carries his given name and the accumulated weight of someone who's been writing his way forward since he was barely old enough to vote.
