About this person
Revell built his name fronting SPK, an industrial rock outfit that marked the 1980s before he turned to scoring films. His first work came with Dead Calm in 1989, then the pivot stuck. Through the 1990s and 2000s he became the go-to for genre pictures - The Crow in 1994, From Dusk till Dawn and The Craft in 1996, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2001, Daredevil and Freddy vs. Jason in 2003, Sin City in 2005. He also scored the Riddick films and other work with director David Twohy. Eight BMI Film Music Awards and an AACTA later, the career sits in that strange space where the music is everywhere but the name stays in the credits.
