Michael Clarke Duncan was born December 10, 1957, and spent years working security before acting broke through. His turn as the death-row inmate with miraculous powers in The Green Mile (1999) brought an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor and changed everything. He followed with Kingpin in Daredevil (2003) and Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, plus roles in Armageddon (1998), The Whole Nine Yards (2000), Planet of the Apes (2001), The Scorpion King (2002), Sin City (2005), and Talladega Nights (2006).
