Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Douglas Johnson was a backup defensive tackle on the University of Miami's 1991 national championship team, but his NFL dreams ended when he went undrafted in 1995 and was cut by the Calgary Stampeders in his first season. In 1996, his father helped him land a WWF contract, and Johnson rapidly became a global phenomenon with a gimmick built on charismatic trash talking - eventually winning ten world championships and headlining WrestleMania six times, including the most-bought wrestling pay-per-view ever. He transitioned to film with The Mummy Returns in 2001 and The Scorpion King the next year, then built a sprawling portfolio across family franchises like Jumanji and Moana, action tentpoles like San Andreas and Rampage, and the Fast & Furious series beginning with Fast Five. By 2025, he'd earned critical praise for a dramatic turn as MMA fighter Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine, co-owned the United Football League, sat on the board of TKO Group Holdings, and co-founded Seven Bucks Productions - named twice by Time as one of the world's most influential people.
