The reason that gets me is, and the greatest part of my job and what I do, is the humanity of it and there’s certain moments where that really cuts through.
I maintain that the best song is the one that ends up on the album. So whether I’ve written it or I haven’t, I’m very comfortable with both.
I can understand why people would want to stay on the road because you create your own bubble. You almost don’t live in the real world.

About this person
Born in Melbourne in 1968, Minogue spent two years on the Australian soap Neighbours before pivoting to music in the late 1980s with a run of dance-pop hits under PWL. Early singles like "I Should Be So Lucky" and "Better the Devil You Know" built her foundation in Australia and the UK. She took creative control in the mid-1990s, releasing more experimental work with Deconstruction Records, then returned to mainstream dance with Parlophone in 1999. Light Years (2000) marked the shift, but Fever (2001) cracked the global market wide open - "Can't Get You Out of My Head" became a worldwide phenomenon and one of the defining singles of the 2000s. She's kept moving since: reinventions across genres, a string of number-one albums in Australia and the UK from 2018 through 2024, and two Grammys along the way. Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in 2024.
