The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 390 days, one point a day.
Something wrong?A voice you hear once and don't forget - high, raspy, built for grit. Gin Wigmore turned a guest spot on a hip-hop track into a decade-plus solo run, three #1 albums in New Zealand, and a signature sound that splits the difference between swamp blues and pop.

About this person
Virginia Claire Wigmore was born 6 June 1986 in New Zealand. She broke through in 2009 featured on Smashproof's single "Brother", then released her debut album Holy Smoke the same year - it hit #1. Gravel & Wine followed in 2011, Blood to Bone in 2015, and Ivory in 2018, the first three all topping the New Zealand Albums Chart. Her fifth album, Beautiful Mess, arrived in 2026. That raspy, high-pitched voice became the through-line: unmistakable, unpolished, hers.
