Williams was born 31 December 1990 and first surfaced fronting The Unfaithful Ways before collaborating with Delaney Davidson and eventually stepping into his own light. Based in Lyttelton, he built a following sharp enough to win multiple Aotearoa Music Awards, the 2026 Taite Music Prize, and the APRA Silver Scroll - the trifecta that marks arrival in New Zealand music. By May 2026 he'd notched two gold albums and a gold single ('What's Chasing You'), touring with his backing band The Yarra Benders. The work also pulled him toward acting, though the songs remain the through-line - guitar, pen, and that voice carrying him farther than the South Island probably predicted.
