Tekno carried Afrobeats into unexpected corners - his 2015 track "Enjoy" surfaced years later in Ted Lasso, a small flag planted in American prestige TV by a Nigerian songwriter who built his name on kinetic, groove-first pop.

About this person

Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu was born 17 December 1992 and took the stage name Tekno Miles, later shortened to Tekno. He worked as a singer, songwriter, and record producer inside Nigeria's crowded pop machinery. "Enjoy" became one of his signature tracks after its 2015 release. The song found a second life in 2020 when it closed episode seven of Ted Lasso's third season, an Emmy-winning series that rarely reached for African pop. The placement was brief, but it marked one of the few times a Nigerian artist's work threaded into the fabric of American primetime without explanation or apology.
