About this person

Born Innocent Ujah Idibia in September 1975, he adopted the stage name 2Face Idibia before shortening it to 2Baba. His solo debut Face 2 Face arrived in 2004 and became a pillar of the decade's Nigerian pop expansion. A year later he took the MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act. The work continued: in 2019 he joined Cobhams Asuquo and Timi Dakolo on a track spotlighting children's rights. By 2025, when Billboard compiled its definitive Afrobeats ranking, "African Queen" landed at number one.
