Biography

About

Ruqayya was born around 601 to Muhammad and Khadija. She married Uthman, who would later rise to become the third caliph of the Islamic community. The couple had a son, Abd Allah. In March 624, while Islam was still taking shape in its earliest decade, Ruqayya died from an illness. She was in her early twenties.
