Biography

About

Abdullah ibn Muhammad was born to Muhammad and Khadija, his mother's wealth and support helping sustain the early Muslim community in Mecca. Known also as al-Tahir and al-Tayyib, he did not survive to see his father's ministry unfold. His death came while still a child, one of several losses that marked Muhammad and Khadija's household before the faith they shaped reached beyond Arabia.
