Umm Kulthum bint Muhammad

Born around 603 to Muhammad and his first wife Khadija bint Khuwaylid, she lived through the founding moment of Islam in seventh-century Arabia. She died in 630, in her late twenties, during the decade when the new religion was spreading rapidly beyond Mecca and Medina.
