About

Jared Leto started on My So-Called Life in 1994, then spent the late '90s in supporting turns—The Thin Red Line, Fight Club, American Psycho—before his lead performance as a drug addict in Requiem for a Dream in 2000 brought critical praise. He shifted focus to music, forming Thirty Seconds to Mars with his brother Shannon in 1998; their second album, A Beautiful Lie, broke them commercially in 2005, and the band has since sold over 15 million records worldwide.
