Jack Nicholson

John Joseph Nicholson was born April 22, 1937, and made his debut in Roger Corman's The Cry Baby Killer in 1958. He spent the sixties writing (including The Monkees' Head) and appearing in cult films like The Little Shop of Horrors before Easy Rider in 1969 brought his first Oscar nomination. The seventies delivered the core: Five Easy Pieces, The Last Detail, Chinatown, and the Best Actor win for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in 1975. He took Best Supporting Actor for Terms of Endearment in 1983, terrified audiences in The Shining, played the Joker in Batman, and collected a second Best Actor for As Good as It Gets in 1997.
