Sia Kate Isobelle Furler started in Adelaide's acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-1990s, released a debut album when the group dissolved in 1997, then moved to London to sing for Zero 7. Two more albums followed in 2001 and 2004, but wider notice only came after she relocated to New York and released Some People Have Real Problems in 2008 and We Are Born in 2010, both certified gold in Australia. Uncomfortable with the attention, she pulled back from performing and became the pen behind "Titanium," "Diamonds," "Wild Ones," and "Pretty Hurts."
