About this person
Martina Stoessel started as a child actress on Argentine TV, then became a Latin American teen idol through the Disney Channel series Violetta (2012-2015), which spun off soundtracks that charted across Europe and Latin America. She signed with Hollywood Records in 2015, released a bilingual debut album that hit number one in Argentina, then pivoted through Latin pop and reggae on Quiero Volver (2018) before re-calibrating hard into reggaeton and Latin trap with Tini Tini Tini (2020) - the best-selling and highest-certified album by a woman in Argentina, double diamond. Cupido (2023) pushed her onto Billboard's US Latin charts and the Global 200, the first Argentine woman to land there, and delivered three consecutive number-ones on the Argentina Hot 100. Her 2024 guest spot on "We Pray" made her the first Argentine woman to appear on the US Billboard Hot 100. She has sold out nine straight nights at Luna Park and six at the Hipódromo, and from 2018 to 2020 Spotify named her the most-streamed Argentine woman three years running.
