Larissa de Macedo Machado released "Meiga e Abusada" in 2012, signed Warner Music Brazil, and watched her self-titled 2013 debut go platinum behind "Show das Poderosas" and "Zen", her first Billboard Brasil Hot 100 number-one. Two more albums - Ritmo Perfeito, Bang - locked down domestic dominance by 2015. She recorded her first full Spanish track, "Paradinha", in 2017, then chased it with CheckMate, a slate of international collaborations that split the difference between Rio and reggaeton.
