Tarantino arrived in 1992 with Reservoir Dogs, an independent crime film that announced a new sensibility. Two years later Pulp Fiction won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and his first Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, turning a non-linear crime comedy-drama into a cultural reset.
