Maher Zain
Swedish R&B singer, songwriter and music producer · Sweden · On the map · Musicians · Born 1981 · age 45
Maher Zain built a global following in a lane pop radio mostly ignores - Islamic nasheeds and R&B that thread devotion through melody. His 2009 debut Thank You Allah became an international hit without crossing into the secular mainstream, proving a massive audience was waiting.

About this person
Born 16 July 1981, the Lebanese-Swedish singer and producer launched his career with Awakening Records in 2009. Thank You Allah connected immediately, and he followed with Forgive Me in April 2012, then One in 2016. After a decade-long gap punctuated only by the 2021 mini-album Nour Ala Nour, he returned in 2026 with Back To You. Across four albums and seventeen years, he carved out space for faith-centered music that doesn't apologize or dilute.
