He spent fifteen years steering Germany's national team, the longest and winningest run of any manager in their history — a tenure crowned by the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Joachim "Jogi" Löw was born on 3 February 1960 in Germany and played football before turning to coaching. In 2006 he took charge of the national team and held the job longer than anyone before him, managing 198 matches and winning 124. The peak came in 2014 when Germany took the World Cup in Brazil, then followed it with the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia. In March 2021 he announced he'd step down after the delayed Euro 2020, closing a decade and a half at the top of German football.
