The Brazilian winger who scored the goal that won Real Madrid the 2022 Champions League final - then did it again in 2024. At 24, he's already stacked two La Liga-Champions League doubles and been named FIFA's best men's player, built on pace and dribbling that make defenders look slow.

About this person

Born in São Gonçalo in 2000, Vinícius made his senior debut for Flamengo at 16 in 2017. Weeks later, Real Madrid paid £38 million for him - a national record for an under-18 - with the move taking effect after his 18th birthday in 2018. He spent the next seasons cementing his place in Madrid's attack, delivering when it mattered: the winning goal in the 2022 Champions League final, the second in the 2024 final, two doubles, and the tournament's Player of the Season award in 2024. That same year he was named The Best FIFA Men's Player and finished second in the Ballon d'Or vote. For Brazil, he helped win youth tournaments in 2015 and 2017, made his senior debut in 2021, and reached the Copa América final that summer.
