About

Born in Chicago in 1947, Hillary Rodham graduated from Wellesley and Yale Law School before moving to Arkansas in 1975 to marry Bill Clinton. She co-founded Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families in 1977 and became the first woman partner at Little Rock's Rose Law Firm. As First Lady from 1993 to 2001, she pushed for healthcare reform — her 1994 plan failed in Congress, but she later helped create the State Children's Health Insurance Program.
