About

Born July 6, 1946, into the Bush family, he flew warplanes in the Texas Air National Guard, graduated from Harvard Business School in 1975, worked in oil, and co-owned the Texas Rangers. He won the Texas governorship in 1994, pushing tort reform and education funding, then took the presidency in 2000 after losing the popular vote but winning a Supreme Court decision that stopped the Florida recount. September 11, 2001, reshaped everything: he ordered the invasion of Afghanistan, signed the Patriot Act, and launched the 2003 Iraq war over weapons claims that proved false. His second term brough…
