Born 29 November 1987, Høiberg surfaced in 2012 with the EP Mirror Maru, which pulled critical attention for its warped-trap elegance. He signed to Blanco's Mad Love imprint and in 2017 released the album 9, which cracked the top 15 in Norway and landed on the Billboard 200 - its single "Adore" with Ariana Grande became his only Hot 100 entry as a lead artist. The production credits piled wide: Kanye West, BTS, Selena Gomez, the Weeknd, Kali Uchis, Lil Uzi Vert. In 2019 he released Princess Catgirl, an experiment in hyperpop's sugar-rush distortion. Then came the songwriter wins: co-production on "Stay" by the Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber in 2021, which hit number one, and "Die for You" by the Weeknd, which topped the chart in 2023 after a remix with Grande. Two chart-toppers, dozens of album cuts, and a sound that slips in sideways.
