Usher Raymond IV released his first album at 15 in 1994, then broke through three years later with My Way and the slow-burn hit "Nice & Slow". 8701 in 2001 gave him two more chart-toppers, but Confessions in 2004 changed the game - four consecutive number-ones, including "Yeah!" and "Burn", and it remains the best-selling album by a Black artist of the 21st century. He kept the streak alive with "Love in This Club" in 2008, then "OMG" in 2010, making him one of the few to top the Hot 100 in three straight decades. Later albums leaned into electronic sounds - Looking 4 Myself, Hard II Love, and Coming Home in 2024, the same year his Super Bowl LVIII halftime show pulled 123 million US viewers. Along the way he co-founded the label that launched Justin Bieber, started a youth nonprofit in 1999, and stacked up eight Grammys and a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
