Edward Thomas Hardy trained at the Drama Centre London and started in Black Hawk Down (2001), gaining early traction in Star Trek: Nemesis and RocknRolla before Bronson (2008) proved he could carry a film on pure intensity. The run from Warrior through Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy to Locke built a reputation for commitment to difficult, interior characters. In 2015 he became Max Rockatansky in Mad Max: Fury Road, played both Kray twins in Legend, and earned an Oscar nomination for The Revenant - all in one year. He's worked repeatedly with Christopher Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk) and turned the alien symbiote Venom into a three-film franchise starting in 2018. Television brought Peaky Blinders and the self-created Taboo; stage work earned him an Olivier nod. He also raps as Frankie Pulitzer, releasing Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer in 2026 after years of wanting to be a "secret member" of the Wu-Tang Clan.
