Stephen Kevin Bannon was a Navy officer, then a Goldman Sachs banker, then an unlikely detour as acting director of Biosphere 2 in 1993. He executive-produced 18 Hollywood films and co-founded Breitbart News in 2007, later calling it "the platform for the alt-right." In 2016 he ran Trump's presidential campaign and entered the White House as chief strategist, clashing with Priebus and Kushner before Trump fired him seven months in.
