About

Witherspoon started young, debuting in The Man in the Moon at fifteen, then broke through in 1999 playing the ruthless Tracy Flick in Election. Elle Woods in Legally Blonde made her a star in 2001, followed by Sweet Home Alabama the next year. She won the Oscar for playing June Carter Cash in Walk the Line in 2005, then hit a rough patch where only Water for Elephants connected in 2011. Her comeback arrived in 2014 when she produced and starred in Wild, earning a second Academy nomination. Since then she's worked mostly in television through her company Hello Sunshine, producing and headlining…
