About this person
Michael James Lindell was born June 28, 1961, and built My Pillow into a recognizable direct-to-consumer brand, becoming its CEO and the face of its advertising. A prominent Trump supporter and advisor, he threw his weight and money behind efforts to overturn the 2020 election result, promoting disproven fraud theories and unproven COVID-19 treatments along the way. In December 2025 he announced a run for Minnesota governor with Trump's backing, stepping down as My Pillow CEO in August 2026 to focus on the race. He lost the Republican primary to Lisa Demuth a week later.
