Biography
About
Malhun Hatun married Osman I, the leader of the Ottoman Turks whose dynasty would establish and rule the Ottoman Empire. As his second legal wife, she bore him a son, Orhan, who would become sultan after his father. She outlived Osman, surviving past 1326, long enough to see the empire her husband founded begin its centuries-long rise.
