Something wrong?A full-back who collects league titles the way some players collect boots - he's won the top division in England, Germany, Italy, and Spain, the only player to sweep all four of Europe's heavyweight leagues.

About this person
João Cancelo came through Benfica's academy and left for Valencia in May 2015, then bounced between Inter Milan on loan and Juventus, picking up a Serie A title before Manchester City paid for him in 2019. At City he turned into the kind of defender who could unlock a match from either flank - 154 appearances, a Champions League, three Premier League crowns, and in 2020-21 the data said he was the best player in England as City reached their first European final. In January 2023 he went on loan to Bayern Munich and won the Bundesliga while still technically part of City's continental treble squad, then moved to Barcelona that August. He tried Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal the next summer, lasted five months, and returned to Barcelona in January 2026 to add a La Liga title - the fourth league, the full set. For Portugal he's been in squads at two World Cups and Euro 2024, and was on the pitch when they won the first Nations League on home ground in 2019.
