Geoffrey Arnold Beck joined the Yardbirds in the mid-1960s and left to front the Jeff Beck Group, then Beck, Bogert & Appice, before making a sharp turn in 1975 toward instrumental music that blurred blues rock, jazz fusion, and electronica. Blow by Blow and Wired succeeded critically, and he won eight Grammys across his career, six of them for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
