Andy Lau is read about 1,855 times a day, in 42 languages.
A typical day, 30 days to 17 October 2026
The middle day of the days counted, so one week of news cannot move it. The line under it is the last 392 days, one point a day.
Something wrong? He's been a Hong Kong fixture for forty years - one of the Four Heavenly Kings, a three-time winner at the Hong Kong Film Awards, and holder of a Guinness record for sheer volume of music trophies. The durability is the story: still here, still central.

In their own words 10
, I have a child of my own. If kids see me lying around doing nothing, they might wonder when they can be like me. This will set a bad example.
I’m accustomed to being hardworking. It’s misleading to say I’m a model worker, but I guess it’s good to encourage young people.
I always say that all problems happen due to miscommunication between people. That's the birthplace.

About this person
Lau Tak-wah was born Lau Fook-wing in September 1961 and came up through TVB in the 1980s as one of the Five Tiger Generals, a crop of young leads who defined the era. The 1990s brought the Four Heavenly Kings label and parallel stardom in Cantopop - by 2000 he'd racked up enough awards (444 by 2006) to earn a Guinness entry for most trophies won by a male Cantopop artist. Film honours followed: three Best Actor wins at the Hong Kong Film Awards, two at the Golden Horse. In 2018 the Academy invited him in, and in 2024 he was elected vice chairman of the China Film Association. Four decades on, he remains one of the most commercially and critically successful figures in the Chinese-speaking world.
