Born April 7, 1986, Choi Si-won entered the industry as a singer and songwriter with Super Junior, the boy group that became a K-pop fixture. He took lead roles in Oh! My Lady in 2010, then Poseidon the next year, carving out acting as more than a side venture. Supporting turns in Athena: Goddess of War, The King of Dramas, and She Was Pretty kept him visible on Korean screens while Chinese-language films - Helios, To the Fore, Dragon Blade - extended his reach. Revolutionary Love in 2017, My Fellow Citizens! in 2019, Love Is for Suckers in 2022, and Bloodhounds in 2023 followed. UNICEF Korea named him a special representative in 2015; four years later, in November 2019, the organisation elevated him to ambassador for its East Asia and Pacific Regional Office.
