Alina Habba was born March 25, 1984, and built a practice as managing partner of Habba, Madaio & Associates in Bedminster, New Jersey. In 2021 she took on Trump as a client and became his legal spokesperson, representing him while also working as a senior advisor for MAGA, Inc., his super PAC. Courts sanctioned her for bringing frivolous cases. In January 2025 she became a counselor to the president, then shifted to interim U.S. attorney for New Jersey in March and was named to the post officially in July. A federal court ruled the July appointment unlawful in August; an appeal upheld that ruling in December. She resigned December 8, 2025.
