, For the first time in my life, I got people respecting me. Please, don't ask me to give it up.
Not personal?! That is my work, my sweat, my time away from my kids! If that's not personal, I don't know what is!

About this person
Born June 22, 1960, Erin Pattee grew up to become a paralegal who in 1993 convinced attorney Ed Masry to let her investigate a pro bono real estate case that didn't add up. What she found in Hinkley, California - Pacific Gas & Electric Company contaminating groundwater and residents getting sick - became a lawsuit that made legal history. The 2000 film starring Julia Roberts turned her into a household name and won Roberts an Academy Award. Since then she's leveraged that platform into a second career as a media personality, hosting Challenge America with Erin Brockovich on ABC and Final Justice on Zone Reality, and now serves as president of Brockovich Research & Consulting while consulting for major injury law firms in the U.S. and Australia.
