Alice Phoebe Lou was born on 19 July 1993 in South Africa. She released her first self-funded studio album, Orbit, in 2016, setting a pattern she'd hold through five more: Paper Castles in 2019, then both Glow and Child's Play in 2021, Shelter in 2023, and Oblivion in 2025. Along the way came two live albums, three EPs, and scattered singles. In 2019 she opened a second lane with Strongboi, a duo built around her band's keyboardist. The catalog keeps growing, the model stays the same.
