About

Vincent Damon Furnier formed a band in Phoenix in 1964 with four others, and they called the whole thing Alice Cooper. Between 1969 and 1973 they cut seven albums and scored hits like "I'm Eighteen" and "School's Out," drawing from garage rock and horror films to build something theatrical and deliberately unsettling. When the band split in 1975, Furnier took the name for himself legally and went solo with Welcome to My Nightmare. The singles kept coming — "Only Women Bleed," "Poison" — and the stage show only got stranger. Thirty studio albums and fifty million records later, he's in the Rock…
