About this person
Born Agnes Monica Muljoto in Jakarta in 1986, she started as a child singer in the 1990s, recording four albums and hosting variety shows before her breakout role in the TV series Pernikahan Dini made her a teen idol in 2001. Her adult debut And the Story Goes (2003) went Double Platinum in Indonesia, followed by hit albums Whaddup A.. '?! (2005) and Sacredly Agnezious (2009), while she juggled acting stints in Indonesian and Taiwanese dramas and judged Indonesian Idol from 2010 to 2012. In 2013 she rebranded as Agnez Mo for her first English album, signed with Sony-backed The Cherry Party in 2014, and released "Coke Bottle" with Timbaland and T.I. - her opening bid for crossover success. Singles like "Boy Magnet," "Overdose" with Chris Brown, and "Patience" cracked the US Billboard charts through the mid-2020s, and in 2025 she landed a role on the American series Reacher. She remains the most-awarded artist in Indonesian history and the first from her country to earn multiple Madame Tussauds wax figures.
