Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis was born 16 December 1984, Greek and Scottish by descent, English by nationality. Recognition arrived in 2014 when he played Tobias Eaton across three Divergent films, the franchise that made him a name. Between and after, he worked the genre circuit - two Underworld entries in 2012 and 2016, the science fiction film Archive in 2020. Television offered shorter arcs: a quick CBS crime drama called Golden Boy in 2013, the adaptation of The Time Traveler's Wife in 2022. That same year he appeared in The White Lotus, the dark comedy that earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination and shifted the perception. In 2024 he took the lead in Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen, and in 2025 played twin brothers in the dark comedy The Monkey - a dual role, a different gear.
