Something wrong?A dancer who pivoted mid-teens into pop songwriting, she's turned heartbreak into algorithmic gold - "You Broke Me First" launched her, "Greedy" made her a chart fixture, and by 2025 she'd landed a US number-one and a Billboard 200 topper before age 22.

About this person
Tate Rosner McRae was born July 1, 2003, and first surfaced on So You Think You Can Dance in 2016 as a teenage competitor. She signed with RCA Records in 2019 and spent the next two years releasing EPs - All the Things I Never Said in 2020, then Too Young to Be Sad in 2021, which became the most-streamed female EP of that year on Spotify and carried "You Broke Me First", her first Hot 100 entry. Her debut album I Used to Think I Could Fly arrived in 2022, peaked at number three in Canada, and spun off "She's All I Wanna Be". Think Later followed in 2023 with a sharper pop tilt and the Global 200 number-one "Greedy". In 2025 she released So Close to What, which topped the US Billboard 200 and delivered three international top-tens - "Sports Car", "Revolving Door", and "Tit for Tat" - while a feature on Morgan Wallen's "What I Want" gave her a first US number-one and the soundtrack cut "Just Keep Watching" earned her first Grammy nomination.
