Born July 11, 1952, Lang built his career on stage first — earning a Tony nomination in 1992 for The Speed of Darkness and a Helen Hayes Award for his one-man show Beyond Glory, which he performed over 150 times. From 2004 to 2006, he co-directed the Actors Studio. His screen work runs military and menacing: the FBI profiler's quarry in Manhunter (1986), Civil War officers in Gettysburg and Gods and Generals, a home invader in Don't Breathe (2016).
