Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, born 30 March 1972, has served as a senior worship leader for over three decades. She released nine studio albums and a catalog of gospel staples before "Way Maker" in 2015 changed the scale: the song climbed to number one on the Christian Copyright Licensing International chart in June 2020, held it through December, and earned coverage by Michael W. Smith, Bethel Music, Leeland, and more than sixty other artists. In May 2020 she became the first African to top the Billboard Christian Songwriters chart - holding it for twelve consecutive weeks - and at the 51st GMA Dove Awards took Song of the Year. She toured India in 2019 as the first gospel artist from Africa to headline there, joined the Grammy Recording Academy as a voting member in 2022, and in 2023 was named global ambassador by the Commonwealth of Dominica.
