Rowan Sebastian Atkinson was born 6 January 1955 and broke through on the sketch show Not the Nine O'Clock News between 1979 and 1982. He then anchored two defining sitcoms: Blackadder ran from 1983 to 1989, and Mr. Bean from 1990 to 1995, the latter spawning two feature films—Bean in 1997 and Mr. Bean's Holiday in 2007—plus an animated series that began in 2002 and continues. He launched the Johnny English spy-comedy franchise in 2003, played Zazu in The Lion King in 1994, Fagin in the 2009 West End Oliver!, and Inspector Fowler in The Thin Blue Line. His film work spans Never Say Never Again…
