Rickard Johannes Sandler was a Swedish politician and writer who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1925 to 1926. He also served as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1932 to 1939. Taking office at age 40, he is both the second-youngest, as well as the only social democratic prime minister to never serve as party leader. He represented several constituencies in the Riksdag across more than five decades from 1912 until his death in 1964, making him the longest-serving Member of Parliament in Swedish history.
